Merry Christmas, Andy

A lovely wreath has been placed in front of Andy's tombstone for the holiday season.

One was placed in front of his parent's as well.

Here is a close-up of the wreath.

Here is a shot of the tombstone through the wreath.

What a difference a day makes, Part 2

A warm day has exposed the footprints of Andy's recent visitors.

The snow has mostly melted away from the tombstone as well.

What a difference a day makes, Part 1

A wet snow has covered the tombstone.

Leaving only a small corner and the base exposed.

However, more traditional looking stones like Andy's parents are still visible.

Harvest Time.

The grasses have changed color completely and have been tied into bundles.

The ornamental gourds - that have seen better days - have frosted over and are fascinating.

The wig has a little collection of snow on top.

33

Not much exciting in front of the tombstone aside from the wig being returned to the top.

My eye was drawn to a new item behind the tombstone.

A can of Rolling Rock.

A Bit of a Mess

With the leaves and the fall breezes the tombstone is in some disarray.

The wig has gathered some frost on it.

Here is a close-up of the cans and such in front of the tombstone.

Fall has arrived.

Fall has arrived in the cemetery. You can see Andy's tombstone on the far left in this picture of a lovely red shrubbery.

The leaves on the plant to the left continue to yellow.

Also, a paper of some type has been placed under the candle and then partially covered in grass clippings.

It's beginning to rain.

Here is a shot of tombstone just as it is starting to sprinkle.

Here is a close-up of the soup cans in their various states of decay including the lose of label.

Here is the where label that belongs to the one can went to.

Rotate

The items have been shifted around, but nothing of note was added.

Here is the view from the side.

Where did the wig and paper go?

The biggest change is that the white wig is no longer on top of the tombstone. Neither is the yellow paper that was placed under the wig.

The paper landed in front of the tombstone. It turns out to be a receipt from a visit to the Andy Warhol Museum (Sorry, blogger auto-rotated it for some reason.)

The wig went the other way and ended up behind the tombstone.

What's under the wig?

Not much has changed with one exception.

A yellow piece of paper has been placed under the can holding up the wig.

Superstar

Several new items have arrived including a note.

A new candle has been added to Andy's tombstone. One like it was added to his parent's stone as well. On the candle it says, "Jesus, I Trust In You".

Here is a close-up of a little crystal angel.

Here is a look at the stack of three cans at the side of the tombstone.

A new note was placed in front of the tombstone. It reads "Andy, You are the greatest artist of ideas. You are a "superstar". With Love, Amanda"

Propping up the wig.

Some of the previous items have been moved around. This includes the ever-present ceramic angel which now can see what the view from the top of the stone is.

The white wig is resting upon a Campbell's can which gives it some shape.

The birthday balloon is now completely flat and resting at the side of the tombstone.

A foggy morning

The early morning fog made for some great images of the tombstone.

Here is a vertical shot that shows the fog on the distant trees even better.

Here is the view from directly in front with a new bouquet of flowers and a can of soup in the grass.

On the tombstone itself someone has left the fitting tribute of a paint brush.

Happy 80th Birthday, Andy.

August 6, 2008 would have been Andy's 80th birthday. He has received a few presents: a white wig, sunglasses and a deflated red balloon.

A close up of the wig and glasses. Note how the wig is being held down by the soup cans. It almost looks like Andy is wearing one of those beer helmits.

The wig, glasses and balloon from the opposite angle.

Less Soup

I'm not sure if these are 2 new cans of tomato or just part of the 6 total cans that were there.

The view from a slightly different angle.

If a tree falls...

As we approached the cemetary the sight of a downed tree met our eyes. At first, we thought that Andy would be under the tree.

However, as we moved closer, we could see that the tree top was right behind Andy's parents.

Here is the view from right in front.

This is the base of the tree...

and the view from the base of the tree.

When we first approached the scene two fawns who had been resting in the downed tree ran out. Here is one of them.
